What happens before treatment?

How do the injections work?

The anti -wrinkle injections contain natural purified proteins which are muscle relaxants that relax your muscles which in turn soften your age lines and makes you look younger.

How Long do they Last?

The effects of the anti-wrinkle injections approximately last for 4 months. However, people undergoing regular treatment notice that the effects lasts longer.

Will I get any side effects?

The safety of these injections have been studies for many years and were found to be very safe. Side effects are rare. Even if they do occur they are minimal and temporary.  The most common side effects is minor bruising which can be covered by makeup. Other possible side effects are temporary feeling of nausea and headache. Since they are injected by a doctor on-site you can be assured that you can consult with the doctor if any side effects occur, as soon as possible. 

Will the Injections hurt?

As very fine needles are used in injecting anti-wrinkle injections you will only feel minimal discomfort. The whole process of injecting is completed within a few minutes. Usually cold packs are used to assist with discomfort if necessary.

What happens after my procedure?

You can resume normal activities after the procedure but do avoid strenous exercise and massaging the area treated for four hours post procedure. It is advisable to consult the doctor in 2 weeks to discuss the results of the procedure, when the full effects of the treatment can be visualised.

Are there differences in types of anti-wrinkle injections?

There are currently three different types of anti-wrinkle injections in Australia. It is better to enquire which brand is being injected on yourself. The prices differ as well. You may need more than double the dose in units of the cheaper injectables to get the equivalent result of the high priced injectable.

How do the injections work?

Dermal fillers are derieved from natural substances in the body which counteract the process of ageing and damage due to environmental factors. It gives hydration and fullness when injected, which helps in smoothening wrinkles and plumping the sagging contours.

How Long do they last?

The results of the dermal fillers last from 6-24 months depending on the product used and factors like lifestyle, ageing and skin type.

Will it hurt?

Mild pain, tenderness and stinging can be expected. Very fine needles are used for the injections. Therefore pain is very minimal. Application of local topical anaesthetic cream minimises the pain.

What happens after the procedure?

Normal activities can be resumed. Avoid make -up for 12 hours. Avoid strenous activities for 24 hours. Avoid extended sun exposure, extreme temperatures, massaging and rubbing the area for 2 weeks. Avoid laser treatment,dermabrasion,chemical peels for 1 month. Book an appointment post procedure, with the doctor in 2-4 weeks for further discussion of results.
